Cool Find: GSI Stemless Wine Glasses

GSI outdoors stemless wine glasses for camping

My wife and I always used to pack along a sleeve of disposable 12-oz Solo cups for those camping road trips until we came to our senses. I'm on a personal campaign to cut my consumption of disposable anything, particularly plastic. I'll admit that it's not always easy or convenient, and I'm not claiming that I've cut it all 100%. I'm still a person. But those Solo cups?  Yeah, no longer need them thanks to the GSI Stemless Wine Glass. GSI Outdoors might call them wine glasses, but a vessel is a vessel. As you can see here they contain margaritas with a yeoman's deft. Probably do okay with apple juice for the kids, too.

The claim is that these wine glasses can be washed at home in a dishwasher, won't cloud, and, like all modern poly eating wares, they're free of BPA.

What's up with that ridiculous bottom? Good question. Consider the vastly surprising technology called "Never Tipsy." The idea is you can rest 'er on a funky surface - say, a boulder - while you take a moment flip burgers on the campfire, or give your wife's bottom a little squeeze. The glass flares out, too, which means it'll catch itself from tipping over. Sort of like a Bozo The Clown punching doll.

I know. They don't leach BPA, they won't tip over . . . if our generation keeps it up, the only problems we'll leave our children to fix are social security and achieving global peace.

The GSI wine glasses hold 10 ounces, add a touch of class to your family camp, and come in either clear poly or stainless steel. Check 'em out (affiliate links):

I'm always looking for some sweet gear to make my travels better. I can totally use these for my heavy or light camping set up. Only thing that would make them better is if they could fit into one another just to save a little space.

Ah, stackable, yes another good thing. You could try the Sea to Summit stuff. They actually collapse rather than stack. My wife likes the mug/cup pretty well.
