Daily Desert: October 29, 2010 (Part 2)

Dos equis, a desert dweller's beer"I never ask God to give me anything; I only ask him to put me where good things are."
- Mexican proverb

And there you go.  I just couldn't find a better way to conclude this week-long series called "Daily Desert": a photo a day that represents and reflects some small piece of living in the Sonoran Desert. This desert is alive, and gentle, and brutal, and fiery, and open, and awakening, and . . .

While shooting desert photos outside of Ajo, Arizona one day, I opened the fridge in the bed of the truck and reached into the stash of Dos Equis.  For just a brief moment, it capped precisely what a day in the desert is. And what it isn't.
