Chloe's got this thing.  This deafening thing. She shouts. One of her common phrases goes, "I WANNA GO ON A WOAD TWIP!" No kidding, and she says that without prompting.

Yeah.  It's awesome.

So we took her up on that deal one Saturday in January.  I opened the map and found a mild dirt route that connects Highways 79 and 77 north or Oracle, Arizona.  We drove straight into a hail storm.  But before that happened we managed to enjoy a picnic in the desert first.

When the storm passed, we stopped to make a snowman with cucumber eyes and a carrot nose.  No wonder she loves road trips.
