The reports said the North Rim of the Grand Canyon had the best show of fall leaves as of the last week in September this year.  So we went.

Along this road to Point Sublime, a rather rough 19 miles to a pristine and secluded point, we did find a good show with the aspen trees.  Fair warning about this road: high winds during this weekend that we went toppled a number of trees.  One blocked the road so perfectly that we spent over an hour chopping and winching to get it out of the way.  Part of the fun and consequences of back road travel.  The views were worth it.
